True Scottish quality
Our Scottish mill has refined the traditional techniques over two centuries to create a cashmere that is truly unique. Nothing compares to Scottish-spun cashmere, they way it looks, how it feels and the way it drapes.
Our Scottish-spun cashmere originates from a world-renowned mill in Loch Leven, known for 150 vears of expertise, using methods that are true to the ways of the past.
The yarn
The raw fiber of our cashmeres is collected from the soft, downy undercoats of the Mongolian goat of the Gobi desert. The Mongolian goat is a mountain-dwelling breed that has adapted to the harsh environments and extreme temperatures of the Gobi Desert. The Gobi farmers collect the fine cashmere fibers by combing their goats gently. It takes three goats to collect enough fibers for a sweater.
The Water
Our mill is on the banks of Loch Leven in Kinross, which gives the vast supply of pure, soft Scottish water that is essential to the feel- and the look – of our cashmere ! The water’s natural purity and softness helps to open up the fibers resulting in wonderfully consistant colours and hand feel

Sustainability
Animal welfare, sustainability and traceability are the three pillars that our Scottish supplier uses to achieve ethical sourcing initiatives. They are working in partnership with approved de-hairers, encourage sustainable herding and grazing practices, promoting high standards of animal welfare, and work to protect the traditional way of life within nomadic communities.
The dyes used to achieve the colour range are environmentally friendly so the water used can be cleaned and returned to the lake in Loch Leven.
